Sharon Erwin is primarily responsible for all litigation matters handled by the firm. Through her training and experience in a large law firm and then a small firm that grew to a mid-sized firm by the mid-1990's, Sharon developed a broad-based, varied trial and litigation management practice with an emphasis in employment litigation, information technology litigation, aviation-related litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolution. Her practice also includes insurance coverage litigation, arts-related law and commercial litigation.
Sharon's federal and state jury and non-jury trial experience includes litigation in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, and the District of New Jersey; the Courts of Common Pleas of Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, Dauphin and Lackawanna Counties of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; as well as appearances pro hac vice in other jurisdictions such as the New Jersey Superior Court and the California Superior Court of Alameda County.
Federal and state appellate experience includes briefing and arguments before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the Pennsylvania Supreme, Superior and Commonwealth Courts, and California and Michigan appellate courts. Sharon's practice in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution includes experience before the American Arbitration Association, and federal and state arbitration and mediation programs.
